Identifying and quantifying the unmet needs of users through active listening and deliberate questioning.

Ensuring accessibility for Veterans and other users navigating VA.gov via screen readers is vital. One key aspect is optimizing the alt text for images, making it descriptive, accurate, and non-redundant. The primary goal of this project was to test a prototype designed to help CMS editors craft higher quality alt text.

The archives of Teachers College have the distinct honor of preserving hundreds of years of history in education, psychology, and health sciences. This project aims to increase the accessibility and findability of these precious resources and secure the legacy of a remarkable educational institution.

This project reflects upon these values of the library in an increasingly digital learning landscape.
